Flautist Louise Burnet, soprano Emma Versteeg and pianist Robin Versteeg are developing a reputation for stylish, innovative and virtuosic recitals incorporating repertoire from the baroque to the contemporary.

Having studied at the Royal College of Music, Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and Royal Academy of Music respectively, they all now live and rehearse in West Central Scotland.

Vocali3e was formed in 2009, with the purpose of exploring the repertoire of trio music for flute, soprano and piano. Louise, Emma and Robin have since developed a number of themed programmes enabling audiences to hear beautiful and much overlooked trios in interesting and thought provoking contexts, often illuminated by spoken introductions and interspersed with duos from the flute-piano and voice-piano cannons. You can view these sample programmes on our ‘hear’ page.

Recent venues have included the Cathedral of the Isles on Cumbrae, Beith Arts Guild, Balquhidder Summer Music, Kyles of Bute Music Club and Torphichen Summer Nights.

The group is extraordinary: each musician is an artist, and the group dynamic is seamless.  Their sensitive interpretations reveal their musicianship and intelligence
